Foundry is constructed of solid New Zealand Pine which has been wire brushed to give the wood an aged, “lived-in” texture. A multi-step finishing process adds depth and character with hand-applied steps such as burnishing edges and highlighting. The wire brushing brings an added surface texture to the finish and creates dimension as the deeper brushed areas hold the stain as it is hand rubbed into the wood. That process ads warmth to the overall color tone and accentuates the grain flow of the more dense grain patterns, creating a rich and authentic look only possible with solid wood.
